Installation and connection of the

dome camera

Package contents Operation and storage

• IP-Module CFVA-IP for indoor fix dome

cameras

• Do not operate or store the unit in

following locations:

1. Connect the video output from the dome

camera to the BNC cable video input (11).

• Fixing template • Extremely hot or cold places

2. Connect the electrical supply for the dome

camera to connector socket (5).

• 2 fixing screws • Close to sources of strong magnetism

• 2 wall plugs • Close to sources of powerful

electromagnetic radiation such as radios

or TV transmitters.

3. Remove the dome from the camera body

(illustration D).

• 2 mechanical screws

4. Place the camera body on the IP-Module

and screw both units together using the

two screws supplied.

5. Connect the LAN cable to the RJ45

socket (7).

The IP-Module CFVA-IP is maintenance-free.

Warning

Small amounts of dirt or dust can be cleaned

from the camera body using a clean soft cloth. If

the unit tends to get very dirty, the dome camera

should be placed within a protective housing.

Ensure correct polarity if using a 12 V DC

supply, as incorrect connection may damage

the dome camera or cause the unit to operate

abnormally.

BNC socket (6) when configuring the

camera.

This guide outlines the most important

information about the indoor fix dome camera. It

is, however, vital that you also refer to the full

User Manual.

9. Configure the dome camera as required.

Refer to the dome camera manual for set-

up instructions.

Installing the IP-Module

10. Place the dome back on the camera and

screw it in position.

IP-Module fixing

1. Use the drilling template to drill two holes

in the ceiling/wall and insert the wall

plugs.

Note

Clean the dome after installation using a soft,

lint-free cloth to remove dust and greasy

finger marks.

2. Mount the IP-Module to the ceiling/wall.

3. Connect the BNC cable (12) to the

connector socket (4) in the IP-Module.
