Overview

• Supports mixed operation of fail-safe signal modules in

safety mode and S7-300 standard modules in an ET 200M

when Cat. 4 or SIL 3 has to be achieved.

• The isolation module is not required if the safety class or safety

category to be achieved is less than SIL 3 or Cat. 4, respec-

tively.

When Cat. 4/SIL 3 is required, the isolation module must be

implemented in the following situations:
